The d&b audiotechnik 5DM is a compact 1RU four-channel Milan-enabled amplifier engineered for small to medium networked audio installations. Built on the proven 5D platform, it delivers flexible power sharing across channels while driving E-, xS-, xC-, T-, and U-Series loudspeakers with comprehensive protection and management.
The unit features loudspeaker-specific processing, an 8-band user EQ, and up to 300 ms delay with minimal 1.1 ms fixed DSP latency. With dual Milan streams (8 channels each) plus four analogue inputs, any input routes to any output for maximum flexibility. Dual Ethernet ports support Milan and OCA/AES70 protocols in combined or split modes.
Additional features include 108 dB dynamic range, Class D amplification, active PFC for weak mains stability, and four GPI contacts for power, mute, fallback/override, and VCA control. Integrates seamlessly with ArrayCalc and R1 control systems.
